"Rebel Private: Front & Rear" by William A Fletcher is a vintage, first-edition, hardcover book published in 1954 by the University of Texas Press. The book presents view of the Civil War from the eyes of a Confederate soldier who had a case of cowardice and then turned around and displayed heroism. The book features illustrations by William & Julian Fletcher, and comes with a dust jacket. The book is in great shape for its age. The binding is intact and firm and pages are clean and free of tears. The dust jacket has signs of wear, consistent with its age, and the cover of the book remains in great shape (see photos). This book would be a wonderful addition to any collection of Civil War literature.
