Spine is darkened and rubbed from handling, but the hand-lettering, date, sword, and laurel/palm decoration remain clear and attractive. Rear cover shows natural vellum toning, soiling, light spotting, rubbing, and a few small marks; the central sword/quill/brush device remains strong and legible.
